Crash Testing
ARTC Crash Testing Lab. is the only one technical service in Taiwan, which supplies full-scale vehicle crash test, sled test for crash simulation and high speed photography & image analysis. This laboratory was established in 2005 to promote the occupant protection and crash performance for vehicle-related industries including onboard 3C products. In addition, ARTC provides total solution from CAE (Computer aided engineering) to crash testing. We build a excellent combination with CAE, academic research and experimental testing. Furthermore the crash laboratory provides domestic and international clients with various customized technical services.

A collision process is finished in 0.1 to 0.2 seconds. We need to use high speed camera to record the whole collision process.

Rear impact trolley hits against test vehicle. Fire risk in the event of collision is estimated by inspecting fuel leakage after test.

Test vehicle hits against fixed barrier. Occupant protection is estimated by calculating injury criteria of dummies after test.

Test vehicle hits against off-set barrier (honeycomb). Occupant protection is estimated by calculating injury criteria of dummies after test.

Sidepole impact trolley hits against test vehicle. Occupant protection is estimated by calculating injury criteria of the dummy after test.

After crash test, test vehicle is installed on the rotary platform. Fire risk is estimated by inspecting fuel leakage.

This test estimates performance of vehicle body and risk of occupant ejection.

This is an acceleration type sled test system. The sled is accelerated by specified waveform to simulate a collision.
