UNECE：The United Nations Economic Commission for Europe

The United Nations Economic Commission for Europe was established in 1947 to encourage economic cooperation among its member States. The participants coming from all over the world standardized a harmonization of vehicle regulations that contains vehicle systems and components testing standards. The UNECE symbol on the product identifies that that manufacturer has received laboratory approval, passed confirmation testing and quality control inspections of plant, and met all regulations.

The letter "E" and number code combination identify the country through which an approved product was originally registered, such as E1 from Germany, E2 from France, E4 from Netherlands, E9 from Spain and ect.
EEC：European Economic Community

European Economic Community was established in 1957 to develop the economies of the number states into a single common market and build a political union of the states of Western Europe. The regulation of vehicles was formed to bring about an economic integration among the countries that consists of whole vehicles and components. The letter "e" and number code combination recognize the issuing countries, such as e1, e2 and so on.
