The Verification technique for Advanced Driving Assistant System

Year:
2015
Category:
Imaged assist technology
Technique Features:

Through the verification technique, engineers can verify the effectiveness of the ADAS by installing the test devices (the device of steering, braking and accelerating control, RTK DGPS, the measuring device of vehicle performances) in the vehicle. The ADAS includes LDW(Lane Departure Warning), LKA(Lane Keeping Assistants), FCW(Forward Collision Warning), AEB(Autonomous Emergency Braking), BSD(Blind Spot Detection). Additionally, this technique also includes the tests for the functionality assessment of Euro-NCAP AEB City Safety, Inter-Urban and Vulnerable Road User (VRU) Protection.

Specification:

Verification Platform: Including a set of Steering Robot, Brake Robot, Acceleration Robot, a set of RTK DGPS, the Euro NCAP Vehicle Target(EVT)and the Euro NCAP Vehicle Targets(EPTs), a test track(a length of 1 km and a width of 16 m suggested ) and a dynamic platform.
• Test Standard/Protocol:
1. LDW:ISO 17361 ,UN/ECE R130, Vehicle Safety Testing Directions(MOTC) 70
2. LKA:ISO 11270,NHTSA LKA
3. FCW:ISO 15623,NHTSA FCW
4. BSD:ISO 17387,NHTSA BSD
5. AEB: Euro NCAP AEB City Safety/Inter-Urban/VRU test protocol, UN/ECE R131, Vehicle Safety Testing Directions(MOTC) 72

Applications:

Passenger vehicles and commercial vehicle.

Benefit:

The benefit is to elevate the competitiveness by providing the assessment, problem shooting and improving strategies to the ADAS.
