The Handling Assessment Technique for Chassis of Vehicle

Year:
2014
Category:
Testing and verification
Technique Features:

Through the handling assessment technique, the performances and characteristic of vehicle chassis (or tire products) can be measured by the sensors installed on the test vehicle. The performances of vehicle chassis (or tire products) can be assessed and further improved by the manufacture with this handling assessment technique.

Specification:

Test tracks: including a skid pad with a radius 60 m, a dry handling course with the radius of curvature of 20 m ~140 m, and a wet handling course with the radius of curvature of 20m&40m
Test procedures:
1. Electronic Stability Control-Passenger car (Vehicle Safety Testing Directions(MOTC) 42-3(paragraph 5.6) & 85, UN/ECE R13H Annex 9, R140)
2. Vehicle Stability Function-Commercial Vehicle (Vehicle Safety Testing Directions(MOTC)42-3(paragraph 6.9) , UN/ECE R13 Annex 21))
3. Steady-state circular driving behavior(ISO 4138) , step input (ISO 7401), double lane change(ISO 3888)
4. Corner braking(CNS D3131:1982)
5. Steer equipment(ECE R79)
6. Subjective handling assessment (manufacture requirements)

Applications:

Passenger vehicles, EV, Buses, Trucks, Trailers and Tire products.

Benefit:

The benefit is to elevate the competitiveness by providing the assessment, problem shooting and improving strategies to the vehicle chassis (or tire products).
