This technology provides software complying with standard communication protocol of diagnostic services for road vehicles. It consists of diagnostic software inside on-vehicle electronic control units and external testing software. All the software implementations are based on international standards, including ISO 14229-1、ISO 14229-2、 ISO 14229-3、 ISO 14229-5、ISO 13400-2, and ISO 15765-2. Following ISO 14229, communication protocols of seven diagnostic services were developed: Diagnostic Session Control, ECU Reset, Read Data By Periodic Identifier, Tester Present, Read Data By Identifier, Clear Diagnostic Information, and Read DTC Information. We follow ISO 13400-2 and ISO 15765-2 for information packaging, message dividing and transmission. This technology can help the development of diagnostic services for road vehicles.
