Integrated Torque Sensor
A torque sensor is a device for measuring and recording the torque applied by a user on a rotating shaft. Traditionally, the twist angle measurement and the shaft are separate components. It is possible that clearance of assembly will affect the accuracy of the torque signals. For preventing this problem, Integrated Torque Sensor integrates input shaft, torsion member, position sensor, and output shaft into one part. Because of the combination of these components, there is no clearance during operation. Besides, the torsion beam can magnify the signals; consequently, the amplifier is not required, which can simplify the circuit design.
1.Torsion stiffness: 2 ~ 2.5 Nm/deg
2.Output voltage: 0 ~ 5 V
3.Torque measurement: ± 10 Nm
The modular design makes Integrated Torque Sensor easy to be applied in electric power steering systems, hybrid vehicles, electric bikes, etc.
A torque sensor is the key component of a power-assisted system such as electric power steering systems and electric bikes. ARTC has established torque sensor development technologies which include torque transmission mechanism, measurement circuit design, etc. The establishment can help domestic component manufacturers have capabilities of manufacturing the key component of the power-assisted system and make their products become more competitive.
