One-Dimensional System-Level Thermal Management Simulation Technology
This technology applies Altair Flow Simulator to develop a one-dimensional thermal–fluid model for vehicle thermal management system design. The simulation evaluates pressure drop, flow distribution, and temperature behavior to predict the operating conditions of battery, motor, and fuel cell cooling circuits, supporting cooling loop optimization and component selection. Both steady-state and transient driving cycles are considered to verify compliance with OEM thermal requirements.
1. Evaluation items: Analysis of flow rate and pressure drop in cooling system networks, temperature field prediction of key components, pump sizing matching and performance evaluation.
2. Reference Standards: Vehicle Thermal Management System Design Specifications / OEM Cooling Performance Test Standards.
This technology can be applied to battery thermal management systems (BTMS), electric drive cooling systems, and fuel cell module systems for various types of electric vehicles.
1. Establish system-level 1D thermo-fluid simulation technology to provide reference for the design and development of industrial thermal management products.
2. Significantly reduce calculation time compared to 3D CFD, enabling rapid evaluation and iteration of multiple design alternatives.
3. Enhance the energy efficiency and safety of thermal management systems.
