The Electronic Control Unit (ECU) of Electronic Stability Control (ESC)
The electro-hydraulic braking system (EHB) is composed of an Electronic Control Unit (ECU) and a hydraulic control unit. In this project, an Electronic Stability Control (ESC) function is implemented to enhance vehicle stability. The control strategy estimates the driver’s steering intention based on steering wheel angle and vehicle dynamic signals, and compares it with the actual vehicle response and safety. When a deviation between the intended input and the vehicle behavior is detected, indicating that the vehicle is operating near the stability limit. At this point, the vehicle is already in a near-unstable critical state, potentially leading to skidding or even loss of control. The electronic stability control system developed in this project provides vehicle attitude correction, thereby improving driving stability and overall operational safety.
1.Input voltage range: 9 ~16V
2.Temperature range for operation: -40 ~ 125°C
3.ESC hydraulic pressurization capability: 200 bar
4.ESC performance meets regulation requirements (Standard of Vehicle Safety Testing Direction 85)
This system can be applied in various types of vehicles equipped with hydraulic braking systems.
The technology can make domestic braking component manufacturers have capabilities of system integration and establish electronic control technique. As a result, they will get opportunities of getting into the electronic braking system supply chain to meet future trend of emerging market demand for electronic braking systems of electric or self-driving cars.
