Technique Features:

The Surround Image PositioningSystem uses multiple sensors to match map information by sensing features around the vehicle through the camera, and works with the Global Positioning System (GPS) and Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) to navigate and locate the vehicle. The system uses the camera to detect the position, perform line segmentation and spatial segmentation in the image processing module, and match the map to estimate the current position. The calculation results are sent to the position fusion processing module, which uses position fusion technology to combine the information from GPS and inertial measurement units, and finally obtains the positioning information according to the position fusion algorithm. This technology is a camera-based spatial positioning solution supplemented with IMUs and maps, which reduces the cost of use and improves the applicability of the industry compared to LiDAR SLAM.
