Minimal Risk Maneuver of Autonomous Vehicle
Minimal Risk Maneuver (MRM) refers to a critical technology enabling intelligent vehicles to autonomously guide themselves to a safe stop when faced with unexpected events. This technology leverages AI to predict unforeseen scenarios, such as driver health impairments or approaching the operational limits of the intelligent vehicle. It autonomously maneuvers the vehicle to the roadside or an emergency lane, ensuring the safety of passengers and surrounding traffic. The system design complies with United Nations regulatory standards, including Level 3 R157 and Level 2 R171 specifications. Research indicates that vehicles with minimum risk capabilities can reduce accident rates by over 25%.
1.Applicable Speed ≤ 80 kph
2.Applicable Scenarios: Highways, ramps, urban roads, intersections, and similar contexts
3.Lane Detection Range > 40 meters
4.Drivable Space Detection: Forward > 60 meters, Rearward > 55 meters, Lateral > 9 meters
5.Shoulder Lane Change: Lateral acceleration < 4 m/s², Jerk < 5 m/s³
6.Applicable Risk Scenarios: Automatically controlling the vehicle to the roadside or an emergency lane in cases of system failure, driver unavailability due to distraction or health issues, etc.
This system can be applied in various types of vehicles equipped with drive-by-wire chassis systems.
The demand for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and autonomous driving technologies in the automotive market is rapidly increasing. Our MRM technology will assist domestic system integrators in meeting regulatory requirements, driving the further development of the smart electric vehicle industry, and enhancing their competitive advantage in international markets.
