Verification technology for the Safety Of The Intended Functionality (SOTIF) of the vehicle electrical system

Year:
2023
Category:
Testing and verification
Technique Features:

With reference to the ISO 21448 standard released in 2022, the analysis of hazardous scenarios was completed and a set of test scenario database for the ADS/ADAS system was established accordingly. Finally, a virtual scene simulation and verification software is used to explore or identify design flaws or weaknesses of the sensing system or sensor module. This result will help manufacturers identify problems caused by controller function limits or insufficient sensor sensing ability, reduce the hazardous scenarios and risk in actual operation, and increase product safety margins, and product competitiveness.

Specification:

LD (Lane Detection) module test scenes (23 scenes), including: light impact, visibility impact, visual range impact, position offset and traffic marking impact.

•ACC hazard test scenarios (6 special scenarios), including: The vehicle stops laterally in the driving lane, trucks lying sideways in the driving lane, Driving lane with circular hole covers, small truck driving in the opposite direction in the lane, container trucks in adjacent lanes and special-type vehicles (TMA: Truck Mounted Attenuator)

Applications:

This technology can be applied to the sensors of passenger cars/commercial vehicles/buses and the corresponding advanced driving assistance systems and autonomous driving systems for safety risk assessment.

Benefit:

This result will help manufacturers identify problems caused by controller function limits or insufficient sensor sensing ability, reduce the hazardous scenarios and risk in actual operation, and increase product safety margins, and product competitiveness.
