Control strategy of electronic brake system with i-booster module

Year:
2019
Category:
Chassis steering technology
Technique Features:

A control strategy is developed for the electronic brake system using with a i-booster module. An additional rotor position sensor, i-booster driver unit and electronic brake controller are included. The control strategy receives the pressure command from the vehicle control unit (VCU) or the ADAS controllers and then outputs the current command of the i-booster module. The rotor position sensor helps to control the position of the piston inside the i-booster precisely to provide the exact brake pressure. In compare with the common electronic brake system using a ESC module, the developed brake system provides a better, silent and fast brake performance.

Specification:

1.Maximun working current:90A
2.Maximum piston displacement:47%
3.Pressure response:0.3~0.5 second

Applications:

This system can be applied in automobiles with power sources such as Internal Combustion Engine and Electric Motor which use hydraulic braking mechanisms.

Benefit:

This technique provides the additional electronic brake system solution other than using the ESC module. It also assists the brake system companies to evaluate and compare the key technology of electronic brake system.
