The Electronic Control Unit (ECU) of Anti-lock Brake System (ABS)
The anti-lock braking system (ABS) comprises an electronic control unit (ECU) and a hydraulic control unit (HCU). The ECU receives the signals from the wheel speed sensors and the vehicle condition from CAN bus to decide the control sequence of the HCU. The HCU consists of solenoid valves, accumulators, pressurized pumps, and other components. The braking force generated by the brake pedal is distributed by HCU to each wheel. The control sequences include releasing, holding, and applying to prevent the wheel from being locked. The ECU consists of a microprocessor, solenoid valve drive circuits, motor drive circuits, diagnostic circuits and other peripheral circuits. The microprocessor performs the anti-lock braking control algorithm and hydraulic modulation control sequences.
1.Input voltage range: 9V~16V.
2.Temperature range for operation: -40°C~125°C.
3.Braking distance on high-adhesion surface ≤0.0063V2 m where V is test speed (kph).
4.Braking distance on low-adhesion surface ≤0.0056V2/P m where V is test speed (kph), and P is the highest braking coefficient.
The ABS ECU can be used in passenger cars, motorcycles and other automobiles which use hydraulic braking mechanisms.
ARTC has established ABS technologies which include system integration, design and development of electronic control units, system control logic design, parameter tuning, etc. The establishment can make domestic component manufacturers have capabilities of system integration and master the ABS ECU technology.
