Lane Keeping Assist Control and Simulation
The key technologies of lane keeping assist systems (LKS) include lane recognition, vehicle trajectory prediction, lane keeping control algorithm and active steering control. The LKS is designed to alert the driver when the system detects that the vehicle is about to deviate from a traffic lane. The lines can be recognized by camera on certain types of roads. When the driver does not take action after warning, the system controls the electric power steering (EPS) system to help the vehicle stay on course near the center of the lane. ARTC provides the techniques of developing LKS which has been verified through model and hardware in the loop (MiL/HiL) simulation and in-vehicle tests.
1.Second order polynomial lane model.
2.Lane information update rate ≥ 20 Hz.
3.Radius of curve ≥ 200 m.
4.Vehicle speed: 60 ~ 120 kph.
5.Operational limits: lateral acceleration ≤ 0.3 g, longitudinal deceleration ≤ 0.3 g.
The LKS can be used in vehicles equipped with EPS systems.
Domestic manufacturers have established lane departure warning (LDW) and EPS technologies. The key technologies of LKS developed by ARTC, such as system integration, trajectory prediction, system control logic design, simulation and validation, can make the companies have capabilities of system integration and upgrade their products to active safety systems to improve competitiveness.
