Autonomous Emergency Braking System for City Safety
By analyzing signals from radar and camera sensor, Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) system can identify the collisions and control the braking system automatically to prevent accidents. The system consists of millimeter wave radar which can detect obstacles in long distance and a wide-angle image recognition module which aims at identifying the kind of the detected object. The fusion of these two sensors stabilizes the city safety system, a class of AEB. By simulating car-to-car collision scenarios to evaluate the AEB system performance of tested vehicles via the vehicles orientated by RTK DPGS and drived autonomously by driving robots, the test data can be record via data acquisition systems and futher be analyzed to confirm the product quality.
1.Vehicle Speed : 10-50kph
2.Detecting area : 5-100 m
3.Detecting correct rate : above 95 %
4.Controller test criterion : ISO16750(Power, Temperature and humidity)
5.Test Standard/Protocol : Euro NCAP AEB System Test Protocol, NHTSA FCW System Confirmation Test Standard
Intelligent Vehicle Safety System
Vehicle active safety technology will be a trend in the future as the requirement from drivers in front safety. By the development of vehicle collision-avoidance technology, it will help the domestic automotive industry level up to high-market-value active safety field, and the market benefit will be increased.
