- Technique Features：
The water in the fuel would cause: (1)abrasion of the injector or deformation of the injector’s hole; (2)rusting and corrosion of engine or engine malfunction; (3)reducing the lubricity of fuel; (4) occurring chemistry with sulfur in the fuel and generating sulfuric acid(may corrode the components of fuel system, engine, post-processor, exhaust pipe and so on). This shows the importance of the performance of removing water from fuel of the filter. The technique developed a “validation system of fuel/water separation efficiency of fuel filter” under on international standard ISO/TS 16332, including platform design, system integration and verification technique of fuel/water separation efficiency. The range of detecting water separating efficiency is 0 to 100%. By using the system to validate fuel/water separation efficiency, it could assist for filter manufactures or related industry to design and improve products.
