Technology of obstacle avoidance with learning ability

  • Technique Features:

    When driving past an on-street-illegal parking, the technology based on learning driver behavior of driving past the scenario to predict a avoiding strategy, and then to plan a suitable path and speed for automatically avoiding obstacles and returning to the original lane.

  • Specification:

    1.Host speed<30 kph
    2.Positioning error <50 cm
    3.Detection range / update rate: 40 meters for front and rear and 20 meters for left and right with update rate> 10 FPS
    4.Obstacle targets: cars, motorcycles/bikes, pedestrians
    5.Obstacle speed: static
    6.Operating lane restrictions: flat, dry road, 3.5-5 meters wide, single/multi-lane
    7.Parking categories: i. a on-street-parking vehicle with/without collision risk, ii. Multiple on-street-parking vehicle with/without collision risk; iii. a on-street-parking vehicle near intersection with/without collision risk

    The technology of obstacle avoidance with learning ability plans a suitable path and speed for automatically avoiding obstacles and returning to the original lane. With the technology, the driver can figure out in advance whether there exists risk in front of the host car, which has obvious benefits for driving safety. Besides, our technology helps the domestic automotive industry level up to high-market-value active safety field, and the market benefit will be increased.
