The Control System for Mobility Devices

  • Technique Features:

    The technique provides a solution to mobility devices with dual powered wheels, such as electric wheelchairs, personal mobility devices, etc. The control system is consisted of single processor and dual power modules which can control two motors simultaneously and can be applied to both brushed and brushless motors. Regarding input signal interface, it can not only be maneuvered by an analog joystick through voltage signal, but by most of the joysticks available in the market through communication interfaces such as CAN, IIC, SPI, and so on. In addition, the controller has a signal interface for encoders, which can provide information of the two motors such as position, speed, power, and so forth. In combination with different control logics, the controller is suitable for various applications.

    ARTC has established mobility devices controller technologies which include system integration, system control logic design, design and development of electronic control units, driver and control for dual-motor, etc. The establishment can make domestic component manufacturers have capabilities of system integration and master the mobility devices control technology to improve product competitiveness.
