Energy-Saving Control Strategy and System Specification Design

  • Technique Features:

    An energy-saving thermostat controller is developed which will tune the working conditions of the HVAC system according to the proper combination of the temperature and moisture within the cabin. The passenger could feel proper somatosensory temperature with a loosen setting for the system which could decrease the power consumption. In addition, a system specification design technology provides a method for designing the structure and specification of the electric vehicle/bus HVAC system depends on the vehicle specification and air-conditioning (AC) system performance requirement.

  • Specification:

    1.A system design technology which is able to apply to the sedans or the buses.
    2.A thermostat controller which works based on the somatosensory temperature estimator and the temperature accuracy could be limited within ±2℃.

  • Applications:

    Automotive HVAC system, energy-saving thermostat control algorithm

  • Benefit:

    The developed energy-saving thermostat control strategy could provide lower power consumption based on characteristics of somatosensory temperature. In the meantime, the strategy could provide the same feeling to the passenger which satisfy the automotive AC system requirement.
