To march on to the international stage with our automotive industry
The development of automotive industry can be traced back more than 100 years. In Taiwan, it goes back over 50 years.
Taiwan started to develop this important industry by implementing a series of policy in 1972.
The industry became a major
contributor in overall industrial development in Taiwan having made great progress in both domestic and overseas markets.
Since Taiwan’s entry into WTO and having to deal with the pressure for market globalization and liberalization,
its automotive industry is now at a critical moment for structural adjustment. Along with the global trend in auto
electronics, we should fully utilize Taiwan’s competitive advantage in electronic industry to further strengthen
our ability for developing complete vehicles and key components. Taiwan will thus be able to become the research
and supply center of high value-added components in the Asian Pacific region.
In the future, the harmonious interaction among people, vehicles and environment will be an irreplaceable value.
When Taiwan’s automotive industry is on the verge of entering a new era, ARTC will be the bridge and communicating
media among the industry, government, and research organizations based on the beliefs in “Impartiality,”
“technology” and “service”. We are now on the threshold of truly participating in global markets and
through Taiwan’s capability in terms of vision, “speed,” ”international quality,” and “competitive pricing”.
